I know everyone has gone over this over and over again on mASF, but I thought i would chime in on something i noticed this weekend. I have been watching DVD's of a seminar conducted a few months ago about Real Estate Negotiating. I'm going to be getting into Real Estate soon, and wanted to learn more about negotiating. Basically has to do with how you can negotiate better, to get a much better price on property. What astonished me was the amount of material that overlapped with what we are doing in the PU world.
A lot of it struck a chord with me b/c i understand a lot of the concepts (the huge KJ in me), but i was astonished to see that this stuff will help me out so much more in what i want to do in business, as well as the given added benifit of bagging HB's.
The main stuff that they were going over was establishing rapport before beginning the negotiating, doing take-aways to make them believe that you may not want to buy the property, acting disinterested, I guess the whole "be the man" part was in there by knowing that at the end of the day you dont' have to buy the house, you can always walk away.
Watching this stuff this weekend has motivated me to get back to sarging again. I took a little hiatus for a month b/c of workign 55 hour weeks at the swimming pool in North Phoenix.
I now also will start working on Project Tempe. I just got a 4 bedroom house about a mile away from Mill/University in Tempe. Its got character...all it needs now is a hot tub.
Sarge On!
