Absinthe

Have any of you had this stuff (Absinthe)?  I had the chance to have some last night, I heard a lot about the stuff.  A friend of mine was able to get his hands on a few bottles of it; he had a small get together with some friends and broke out two bottles.  He had both the red and the green, I didn’t like either of them.  I thought both were bitter, and the alcohol content made it really unforgiving.  He told me that he would usually use a spoon and a sugar cube, to take away the bitter taste (I didn’t really understand what he was talking about).  It must be a drink for the experienced drinker  :shock: .

Absynth.. the drink of metaphysical poets.. and writers such as Byron and Shelley.  (OK so my brother's telling me what to write).

I don't think that you can get hold of the real thing, as it is quite a toxic beverage.. with certain drug properties, such as hallucinogenic effects.

Recently Absynth is being produced again, but it's not the original real stuff.  Most people don't know this though, so you can get away with making a big deal about it.  Good conversation piece or seduction routine, when used with an HB isolated... bring out her adventurous side.

Some guys in the game use it as a prop or as a kind of taboo ritual to lure women back to their place.

My old roommate rigged up our kitchen a few months ago and made some. It was some pretty potent stuff, hard to explain, but has an effect far beyond alcohol. Taste was decent too
